BJMP Regional Office 12 is mandated to take operational and administrative control over all city, district and municipal jails in SOCCSKSARGEN - comprised of four (4) provinces of Sarangani, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and North Cotabato.

Safekeeping, welfare and development of offenders were the basic function of the organization. In this context, the bureau had created a rehabilitation program with four major areas, namely: livelihood projects, educational and vocational training, recreation and sports, and religious/ spiritual activities. These were continuously implemented to reform offenders and become law-abiding and productive citizens.
